Hi, I’m James and this is my photography page.

I haven’t always been a photographer and have taken the long way around to getting to this point in my life. I’ve gone to school and college, none of which had anything to do with photography, however, after purchasing my first DSLR camera, photography became a labour of love and is how I spend most of my time outside of the office.

There are very few things in life that we enjoy getting up at the crack of dawn for – holidays, your kids, and maybe Christmas morning! Well for me, catching the perfect moment just before sunrise is worth it. Every. Single. Time.

​

How many times have you been in a situation and thought, I wish I could capture this? Be it a glorious sunset, wedding, baby’s first photo or a sporting event - Photography can capture it all and keep it in time forever.

​

What I love about the camera is its ability to get our heads out of our iPads or iPhones, instead you find yourself looking around at skylines, buildings, streets etc. Looking for potential shots. I suppose I just happened upon the path of photography. I always wanted to have a “proper” camera and so one day I bit the bullet. Once I got out shooting and started to learn the ropes, I was hooked. It really makes you appreciate the everyday things around us that we take for granted.
